Troy couple’s auto-nag gag gift may drive hubby crazy

Are you tired of nagging your husband or boyfriend to slow down when they are driving?

Do you want to make sure they always have your back-seat driving available even when you aren’t in the car?

Giving him a “Mary-On-Board” device for his car is the perfect solution.

Mary-On-Board is an electronic device that offers 15 hilarious “back-seat driver” sayings in both English and Spanish.

It attaches to most car dashboards with a nonslip mat and a suction cup mount and also has an integrated picture holding slot so the driver can personalize the display of the device to remind him of his wife or girlfriend.

The driver or passenger pushes a button on the device to activate the back-seat driver sayings.

With typical back-seat driving sayings such as, “Why don’t you stop and ask for directions?” and “Don’t you think you should slow down?” the Mary-on-Board device is a great way to remind someone to drive carefully, even if you aren’t in the car to nag them personally.

Mary-on-Board is the brainchild of Mary and Dan Finkelstein of Troy, who got the idea during a trip to North Carolina.

“My husband was driving and talking on his cell phone and almost missed an important exit until I got his attention, even though we had a GPS system giving him directions,” said co-inventor Mary Finkelstein.

“It occurred to me that a device that would provide subtle driving reminders would be a fun gag gift.”  Dan Finkelstein added, “We would love to have people tell us their back-seat driving stories as well, and those stories will be the basis for additional sayings we use for future versions of our Mary-on-Board product.”

Motorists with back-seat driving stories to share, can e-mail them to
comments@maryonboard.com.

Mary-On-Board can be purchased for $19.95 at
www.maryonboard.com, and $1 from each purchase will be donated to the National Kidney Foundation.

For a “test-drive” of the device, visit and click the “Demo” tab to let the back-seat driving begin.

Mary-On-Board T-shirts and hats are available on the website as well.
